Muhammad bin Qasim

  Muhammad bin Qasim was a young Arab general who served the Umayyad Caliphate and led the conquest of Sindh in present-day Pakistan in the early 8th century. His campaign is considered one of the early Islamic conquests of the Indian subcontinent and played a significant role in the spread of Islam in the region. Muhammad bin Qasim was born in Taif, Saudi Arabia, in 695 CE, and was a member of the Bani Tamim tribe.
